Life. Art. Transcendence.

Ascend!

Day/Card 23 of 39 … Ascend …

To ascend is to go or move upward. To rise. The act of moving to a higher or more powerful position. To ascend as a human, is to reconnect to your soul, to realign with your Divine, Highest, Best self. It doesn’t mean that your physical body rises up towards the heavens, or that you have to to experience death to ascend, rather, to me, it’s more of bringing Heaven down to Earth.

I know, this is sounding crazy. Too much. To ascend while you’re here on Earth, alive, is about evolving your human consciousness by awakening your heart, and spirit, and your inner knowing.

The “Ascend” card is a special card. You are being asked to level up and to take the next steps on your own evolution. Note it’s purple color. It’s my favorite color! Of all colors, purple has a very high vibration frequency. The combination of blue and red which make purple, helps to promote our spiritual growth, imagination, creativity, love, and is known to be associated with transformation. The Ascend card asks you to quietly sit and to breathe in your divine knowing. Make the intention to connect with your Highest and Best Self and ask it to remove or transmute anything and everything standing in the way or blocking you from ascending. Imagine the color purple surrounding you, enveloping you, eventually turning into a white, loving, healing light connecting you with the Divine, showing you a your own light, and illuminating your path before you for your Highest Good, and for the highest good of all.

Self-Love

Day/Card 21 of 39 … Self-Love …

Self-love is such a challenging concept to grasp. As women, most times we put others before ourselves, at times compromising ourselves to make sure everyone else is taken care of first. It can seem conceited and selfish, but here’s the thing … before we became wives, mothers, co-workers, etc., we were ourselves first. We are always ourselves first, nothing has changed about that except our outlook of putting the needs of everyone else first.

When we constantly give, give, give and take nothing for ourselves, at the end of the day what’s left? When our children see us giving to everyone else first, what are we inevitably teaching them? To forsake themselves? Would you seriously want that for them? What examples are you setting when you allow your health to slide, your mental well-being to take a backseat, or putting your passions on hold? When you deplete yourself and don’t take the time to replenish yourself, are you truly giving them the best of you? No. What they get is someone who is tired, unhappy, cranky, hangry … you get the picture.

When you give to yourself first – taking an hour to exercise, eat well, read the trash novels you enjoy, paint, get a massage, do things that YOU love – you fill yourself up, and your people get a better version of you. You set better examples for your children, especially your daughter. You’re happier, rejuvenated, and you will be better equipped to take on the challenges of your day. Just because you get married and have kids doesn’t mean that you as a person gets put on hold. Men, this includes you also as I know a few of you who are in a similar boat and constantly feel a need to provide for others before yourself!

The “Self-Love” card asks you to take a look at yourself & to begin making your self a priority instead of an after thought! Stop making excuses as to why you can’t! Life flows easier when you’re coming from a place of happiness rather than when your tired, etc. Studies have shown that women (& men) who prioritize themselves are better parents, productive employees, happier individuals in general. Taking 30 minutes to and hour a day is less than 1% of a 24 hour day! You’re NOT neglecting your children by doing this, and there should be no guilt for taking this time for you! Love yourself enough to do this and watch your life expand!

“Alignment!”

Day/Card 20 of 39 … Alignment …

Aaaahhhhh … Alignment! When everything appears to line up and flow with ease and grace. It’s a connection to something bigger than yourself, a higher power, to Source. Maybe for you that’s God, or The Universe. It’s trusting that everything is happening for your good. Synchronicities seem to occur frequently and ease.

Alignment is essentially you in your beautiful human form, connecting to you in your magnificent Spirit/Soul form as you forge your way on your life’s path here on Earth, or your destiny. Whew! That’s a lot of “woo-woo.” Life appears easier, you don’t have to have anything figured out. When you’re not in alignment, you feel “off” or stuck. There’s a feeling of disconnection, depression, or anxiety. You might feel as if you’re forcing life, instead of flowing. Life feels hard when you’re not in alignment.

The easiest ways to get into alignment? For one, Gratitude! The more you appreciate what you have in your life, the more you will receive. There must also be the belief that Your God/The Universe desires for you to be happy, and that it’s keeping you safe and protected. Meditation also helps to connect with source. And get excited! Life does feel easier when you operate from a state of joy and happiness! Laugh! Play! These are just a few ways to get into alignment.

The “Alignment” card reminds you that you’re never far away from your connection to Source, and to the abundance and goodness of the Universe which is our birthright! Take time to jot down what you are grateful for every day. Giving thanks gives you more things to be thankful for. Acknowledge your God/ the Universe. Meditate a few minutes daily to connect with yourself. Lastly, take time to laugh, and play, and get excited about your life and watch just how fast alignment happens for you!

“Joy!”

Day/Card 19 of 39 … Joy …

Joy is the feeling or expression of great pleasure and happiness. Often times, it’s confused with or thought of another word for happiness or being happy, but where happiness is connected to something external, i.e. situations, people, places, or things, joy, on the other hand, is not connected to anything external, it just is. Happiness is external. Joy is internal.

To have joy, or to be joyful comes from a place within you. Joy needs nothing for it to be. It comes when you are at peace with who you are, where you are, and why you are. You don’t need anything external and you’re not waiting for things to cause you to feel joy. For example, many say, “I’ll be happy when … __ (I lose weight. Graduate. Get promoted. Buy that car. etc.).” When you feel joy, there are no “conditions,” you only have gratitude and love for every thing about you and your situation. It doesn’t mean everything is perfect, but you see life from a perspective that all is well regardless.

The “Joy” card asks you to look within and to ask yourself if you put conditions on your outlook on life. Are you only happy when “X” happens, or can you feel joy and appreciate every moment in your life? Joy carries no attachments or burdens, it is simple and lighthearted and emits good vibrations. Joy is an attitude that is free and available to all of us at any time if you’re open! Feel joy and watch your life change.

“Emotion”

Day/Card 18 of 39 … Emotion …
.
Happiness•Sadness•Anger•Anticipation•Fear•Loneliness•Jealousy•Disgust•Surprise•Trust•

Emotions. We all have them. Feelings or mental reactions to circumstances or events happening in our lives. But sometimes our emotions can get complicated and we may not know how to express them, or what to do with them.

Emotions are a part of who we are. They are neither good, nor bad. They just are. They serve to let us know how we’re being affected by the things going on in and/or around us, and help us to make sense of what to do. It’s when we act out our emotions (mostly the ones that are deemed “negative”) that get us labeled as “too emotional,” or seen as “letting our emotions get the best of us.” Sometimes, when we experience emotional turmoil, it affects our thoughts, moods, relationships, and everything about you, really. It’s important to recognize it, acknowledge it, and to express it in a way that’s not harmful to yourself or others, rather than to deny them.

The “Emotion” card reminds you that emotions are literally “energy in motion.” It reminds you to acknowledge, feel, and move through whatever you’re experiencing. Your feelings ARE important! Expression is important because repression of your feelings and emotions can cause you to become toxic, sick. Love and fear are the only two true emotions; they are our motivators as we only do things out love or fear. If there’s something you need to express, find a way to do it lovingly without compromising yourself.

Awakening!

Day/Card 17 of 39 … Awakening …

“The Universe will shake you to wake you.” Something happens in your life that causes you to question your existence. Why am I here? What’s my purpose? Who am I? Why did that happen? WTF?!?

It’s happened to me several times in my life: A divorce, a demotion at work, a child getting sick are a few of my examples. At the time of the incident, you can’t see why it’s happening to you. You’re upset, or angry and all you can really see is that it has turned your world upside down. I’m not ashamed to admit that I’ve blamed and gotten angry God, only to quietly and humbly ask for forgiveness when I realize how it was a blessing in disguise and all part of the master plan for my life.

God/The Universe works like that. Here you are going about your merry way in life even though you know you’re not happy. You keep trying, pretending to be okay. But the Universe knows! God knows! And they will remove something from your path, or throw a monkey wrench in your best laid plans to wake you the fuck up because you’ve been sleepwalking through your life!

The “Awakening” card is a call for you to see and understand that you are NOT separate from God or the Universe. The illusion that you’re separate begins to dissolve. It’s truly a wake up call that can be felt in your entire being. Things do happen in your life for a reason. Most times it’s asking you to wake up and to begin shifting your perspective. And if you’re unwilling, it does something drastic so you will! It’s time to wake up, My Friends!

Celebrate!

Day/Card 16 of 39 … Celebrate …

To many, celebrations are for milestones and accomplishments. Happy occasions such as birthdays, graduations, births, marriages, retirements, promotions, etc. But what about the little things? The mini-milestones and seemingly insignificant accomplishments? I believe that they, too, are important and should also be celebrated. What about life in general? The fact that you awakened and opened your eyes this morning, or your ability to breathe … They for sure are celebration worthy in my book!

Life is a gift. One that should not be taken for granted. Our time here on Earth as Humans is short. I think of the times I was pregnant with my children (I have 4) and how excited I was. I remember thinking that it was such a miracle to have created life, and to have been blessed to carry and grow my life miracles. My Children are for sure my greatest, best, most prized, most loved creations ever and I am so very thankful and grateful for them every day. My children are truly my greatest gifts of life, and I am also a gift.

The “Celebrate” card asks you to ask yourself, “Do you enjoy your gift of life?” It asks you to look beyond the normal things we celebrate and asks you to ask if you celebrate yourself. Do you love each day to the fullest, or were you too wrapped up in your head, stressed? Or were you zoned out on the internet? The thing is, you don’t want to reach a point where you start regretting how you spent your time. It’s so limited and so precious. You don’t want to get to the end of your life and wish you did things differently. Celebrate every breath, every milestone, every waking moment. You have been given this INCREDIBLE gift and it deserves to be celebrated. You deserve to be celebrated. Every little thing deserves to be celebrated. Take a moment everyday to sing, dance, laugh, play, and to remember that you are a gift!

Self-Catalyst.

Day/Card 15 of 39 … Self-Catalyst …

Catalyst: An event or person sparking a change. A catalyst can be something you experience, words spoken by someone, a book, a movie, an event … it’s something that causes you to take action, that alters your life some how in some way. Often times, though, that spark, that inspiration isn’t there and you get tired of your own BS. YOU, then, must become your own catalyst! You must set your own self on fire!

Life doesn’t always place inspiration directly in your path. Sometimes you get so caught up in the daily routine of life that you don’t notice that it’s become mundane until you wake up one day depressed, angry, or feeling very “off.” You go through motions every day that you miss the signs, and find that you’re living but not feeling alive. You know that change needs to be made, and you hope, wish, and pray that that something will happen … Here’s the thing, if it doesn’t come, you have to realize that YOU will have to be the one to decide to make the change. Nothing will happen until you realize this. Life will keep giving you the same mundane daily routine.

Whatever it is that you want – a different outlook, to change your body, get a degree, a new job, etc., – if you really want it, you will find it within you to do something about it and change your life, or you will find an excuse to why things aren’t changing and your life will remain the same. You have to be willing to do something different, make that necessary change, decide that it is that important to you.

The “Self-Catalyst” card asks you to decide what you really want? How important is it to you? How BAD do you really want it? Are you okay with how your life is, or is a change truly necessary because you cannot continue to live the way you’re living anymore? What is it? Are you willing to be your own catalyst, light that proverbial match under your ass and set yourself on FIRE?!? Remember that fire is a symbol of love. Fire is an unpolluted creative energy. It will not burn you so go ahead and light yourself up!

“Multidimensional”

Day/Card 14 of 39 … Multidimensional …

At any one given time, there are multiple versions of us that exist in time and space. You are more than meets the eye. Much more than just your body. More than your Soul. You’re an integral part of the Universe, present on many levels of reality simultaneously, and you are so much more powerful than you have ever imagined yourself to be.

Higher-Self • Other-Self • Parallel-Self • Probable-Self • Past-Self • Future-Self • Quantum Realities

I believe that very often we live in several dimensions at the same time. You may have heard the expression, “We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” What that means is that we are more than just our physical bodies. It means that we are pure awareness temporarily inhabiting a human body in order to develop our consciousness. Before we appear in the physical, we project our consciousness into a multitude of layers of existence and a range of vibrational frequencies. We are the same being existing in these multitudes of layers or dimensions.

I believe that we are beings whose souls are capable of experiencing all possible and probable life paths in parallel. I believe that we are capable of calling into our reality that which we desire to experience. I believe that there are parts of us that know that which we wish to be/know/experience and that all we need to do is tap into that part of ourselves. You’ve experienced this in the form of deja vu, or how you just know things even though you’ve never done it before. Or have you?

The “Multidimensional” card shows up for you to remind you that you are MORE than just your human self. It’s a reminder that there are so many other versions of you that exist, and that you are far more capable and far more powerful than your own self-perceptions. You only have to tap into that part of you that you wish to experience.

Day/Card 13 of 39 … I Am Here …

“I Am Here”
“I Am Here”

Lucky Number 13! My favorite!

Growing up, I can’t say that I had the best of circumstances. I was raised by a mother who I believe wanted a “different” kind of daughter; one that was more subservient, not as strong willed, and one not so outgoing. I wasn’t ever enough for her. I was constantly told that I would not amount to much, and that I was ugly. What I knew about myself though was that I was NOT what she believed of me. I believed in something much different. I believed in ME. On more than one occasion, I had to squelch her belief about me and continuously remind myself that her vision for my life was NOT my vision. The visions that I had for myself were far greater than anything she could have ever imagined.

It’s hard to believe your life was meant for greater things when your own parent is telling you a different story. The voice that you hear in your head that gives you doubts is most times theirs. Here’s what I believe wholeheartedly: What we believe about ourselves is ultimately what manifests outwardly. I knew I was different. I could not show up as she wanted me to because that was NOT a version of me that I believed myself to be. I could only show up as the ME that I knew because any time I attempted to conform, it literally hurt My Soul.

The card, “I Am Here” dares you to show up as yourself. It challenges you to tell the truth about who YOU are, not who you think you should be, or what you believe others want you to be. To show up as anyone other than your TRUE self is an insult to your Soul and you can literally feel it down to your core! Your Soul knows when you are lying. You can’t hide your own truth from your Soul. Your Soul desires for you to always show up as your Highest and Best Self, not as a watered down, conformed version that is attempting to make everyone else happy to keep the peace at the expense of your own happiness and peace. What good is that serving yourself? And in turn, what good is that as you serve others? Be 100% YOU, no excuses, no explanations. As uncomfortable as it may be, tell the world, “I Am Here!” You owe yourself that much!
